So happy with it after my old one crashed.
A nice size screen but I can't get used to Windows 7. I think I prefer Windows XP which I had previously.
There doesn't seem to have anywhere where you can add to your favourites.

You should have tried Apple they are wonderful no viruses problems etc. But good luck with what you've purchased.

I take it you have Internet Explorer 8, that being the case it should be here.

Thank you Clevewyn.
I couldn't find it as I didn't have Internet Explorer 8 as my browser.
Sorted out now though.

They're expensive though , Vince. I use one at the museum and have no end of problems with it. We've recently got a new one and it's just as well it's got a wireless keyboard and mouse ! The screen is so big we have to get away from it or we get a crick in our necks!

Ciderman - you can get very good second hand Macs, from eBay and local classifieds, usually only a couple of years old, still under the three-year warranty, because many people want to upgrade to the latest and greatest.

Even new ones need not be too expensive. I bought a new Mac notebook (14 inch screen) in the Xmas sales and still going strong, after five years. Very handy for email, letters, reports .. and such, instead of using the main iMac 26 inch screen.

If you do get a new PC make sure he/she comes complete with truncheon. As part of the cut backs they often leave this out or they try to palm you off with a much cheaper version. You can always tell these, they have a blue band round the hat. :hide:

I had a new PC 2 years ago. I hated it then and I hate it now. It's on Vista and I hate that too... none of my favourite softwear is compatible with it and I get stupid little tabs popping up all the time. In addition to this my files seem to be all over the place. And for goodness sake what is that stupid side bar for?... Mind you I lost it ages ago... don't know where it went!

:tantrum2: Ooohh I'm in a bad mood now just by talking about it!!

The operating system from hell is Vista by what I`ve seen of it, I`ll stick with my XP until I have to change if I ever do.

I must say I am happy now with windows 7. Far easier to use than XP.
I just love the clipping tool on the desktop. Ideal for croppimg photos etc before downloading. Also saves me keep going into Picture it.
