The Daily Telegraph has published a correction to statements it made when reporting on Agency actions in relation to cloned cattle.
The Telegraph said: 'Our Aug 4 and 5 reports wrongly stated that the Food Standards Agency (FSA) had denied that meat or milk from the offspring of a cloned animal had entered the food chain. We now accept that the FSA never made such a denial. Our website incorrectly stated that the FSA's budget for 2009/10 was £458 million. As set out in our printed report, it was in fact £152 million. We also incorrectly described the FSA as a quango; it is a non-ministerial Government department
