Lovely Surprise.

Hubby and I have been out for the afternoon with my son and lovely d-i-l.
Tricia (d-i-l ) phoned this morning to say that they were calling for us to take us for a walk round the park where we used to live over 25 years ago.
Its a lovely old park with a Carillon in it that plays the bells and they are all tunes we can sing to.
I thoroughly enjoyed the outing because it was done out of the blue with no planning and we had a good three hours together and even had lunch in the Park Cafe.
We had plenty of laughs and a dollop of ice cream while sitting on one of the seats in the park and to top it all the weather was good to us.

I have found this with some photos on it of the park to show you what a pretty place it is. I hope it will open up for you.

It goes to show that it doesn't have to be anything that costs a lot of money and too much travelling to have a lovely time.

Glad you enjoyed your day - the link opened fine - it looks a lovely place. Sometimes the least planned events turn out to be the best!

Hi Sweetpea,
Yes it is a very pretty park and the children are well catered for with their sand pits and very unusual play things.
I would have loved to have gone on them. :)
