Food Alert - Sainsbury

Postby Penny » Thu Sep 02, 2010 4:00 pm

Sainsbury’s is recalling its Freefrom brand Rich Fruit Cake Slices with a ‘best before’ date of 4 November 2010, because the product contains low levels of wheat gluten, which isn’t mentioned on the product label. This makes the product a possible health risk to anyone with a gluten intolerance or an allergy to or intolerance of wheat. The Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.

If you have a sensitivity to wheat and gluten you are advised not to eat this product.
Product detailsThe product being recalled is:

Product: Rich Fruit Cake Slices
Brand: Sainsbury’s Freefrom
Best before: 4 November 2010

If you have purchased any of the above please return for full refund.

cheers Penny
