You know Tony.
You went through all this in your later life and I feel so very sorry for you.

So sorry to hear this - how terrible that he is in such pain.

That's dreadful news Mo, it's bad enough to know he won't get better, but to watch him suffering in such pain is unbearable and if the doctors can't control his pain, then I pray for his quick passing :grouphug:

Deja you fight and fight right to the last hoping beyond hope things will miraculously get better but you know it won't; you watch the suffering helpless and cursing the people who you think should be able to make a difference, if they cared enough but knowing they don't and won't and then you pray that someone will end the pain of the one you love beyond self and all others.

Oh Mo.
I am SO very sorry to read your posting but where there is life there is hope so positive thoughts must come to the fore.

I hope and pray that they can ease his pain off at least.

Life can be so BLOODY CRUEL at times.

I know just what you mean VM, I've been there twice in my life, which is why I pray for Bill to have a quick and peaceful passing

Dejavou.
You got the names muddled.
It's Bill's brother in law Stan who is ill. Thankfully my husband Bill is in good health at the moment.

So sorry to read this, but he should not be in such pain.
It is too much for him and those who love him to bear.

Thank you all for your postings. We just feel so dreadfully sorry for Bill's sister wh is finding it hard to accept being as her husband was so fit and well before he climbed the ladder to put something up in the loft.

I am just so glad that we cannot see into the future - so sad for a fit man to come to this. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, especially Bill's sister.

You just never know what's coming do you? A simple accident and now this!
I'm so very sorry for Stan and his wife. I'm sure the hospital ought to be able to make his pain easier... It's a matter of getting the right proportion of pain control.

I say this because my brother in law had prostate cancer which spread to his bones. He was crying with pain but once they'd got the medication sorted out he was as pain free as it was possible to be... Sadly he died a few weeks later.

Thanks Mazzy and Carol.

So very sad to read about your brother in law Carol. Twin sister Dorrie's husband also died in terrible pain until they gave him morphine and he had a pain free day before he died.

That is why we should all appreciate each day because life can take a turn for the worse anytime and to anyone.
