Those T.V. soaps.

I am fed up with the doom and gloom of Eastenders so have changed to Emerdale which has far more interesting story lines, and the settings are so pleasant.

Those who watch soaps, which ones do you watch?.

Trev is the 'soap watcher' in our house, but recently I have watched Emmerdale with him. Have to say that I am quiite enjoying it. I think they are dragging the 'Ryan & Nathan' story line out a bit though. Agree with you about the settings - much nicer scenery.

I will miss The Bill though!!!!!

Emmerdale for me too Mo and I bob in and out of Corrie, as that's got rather silly of late, I don't mind watching soaps, it's easy viewing after a long day at work

I dont watch any now Mo but I used to watch Corrie and Eastenders at one time
but the storylines started to become TOO farfetched just to keep viewers glued to them.
It must be at least 4 years since I watched them.
I am more into antique programmes probably because I am one myself. :roflmao:

I would much rather have a game of Scrabble on Facebook than watch the TV.
I dont care who wins as long as my grey matter is kept working.

Thanks for your postings.
I must admit I do like a bit of soap, I love the build up to each episode, longing to know what happens next. Half an hour of your time to sort of relax.
Bill and I absolutely love Flog it Maisie.

I am browned off with the rubbish on soaps these days but intend to watch Eastenders on Monday to see the place go up in smoke. No more Peggy and I think no more Stacey. In Corrie, looks as tho' Ken is going to find he has a son and grandson from an affair years ago. What a lot of tosh. cheers Penny :groaner:

Being fair. It must be pretty difficult for the writers to keep the story lines interesting after so many years of almost daily T.V.
I was surprised to find out that the best story lines on Eastenders is written by Simon Ashdown....Paddy Ashdowns son.
Whenever there is a good episode it's always been written by Simon and he always writes the Christmas episodes.

I love the soaps especially the ones on the NEWS, about various on goings about tragedies around the world :tantrum2: :tantrum2: :tantrum2:

Unfortunately I don't watch the traditional soaps, as they always seem to be shouting at one another and falling out over some trivial matter.
