Rocky. I've never liked sitting in the sun for long that is probably why I don't have wrinkles. I must admit I have a few little lines over my mouth. I have got some of those awful brown marks on my skin though. A little makeup helps to make them almost look as if they've disapeared. Ha ha.

I have lost 2lbs and am now 11st 7lbs. For me this is a result. My BMI is 26 I just cut down on the carbs and balanced my meals out. I have joined a weight management clinic at the surgery and the nurse is very helpful

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in side-ways ~ chardonnay in one hand ~ chocolate in the other ~ body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'Woo, hoo, what a ride!'.

I'm on a great diet now called....... The in between diet.
You diet in between meals.
Not successful, but it makes you feel good while you're dieting. :roflmao: :choklit:

Mo - like the seafood diet? See food and eat it

Carol - interesting what you say about lean alternative days, gives the liver a good rest, as well.

Even as a child and teenager I have always had to eat lean, not for dietary purposes, just fatty foods sit like bricks. Very slow metabolism, I think. When I get novocaine from the dentist, I am still numb the next day.

Jann,my sentiments entirely!

I 'should' probably lose about 10 lbs, but to be honest, I don't think I have ever been happer with myself and my life, than I am now.....took 64 years to get to this smug contented place though.

I do applaud anyone who wants to lose weight and sticks at it...I have tried to diet so many times, and know how hard it is when you really love food.

I do feel sorry for those people who are slim just because food isn't important to them - think what they are missing out on.

I started the diet in February when I found out that I had type 2 diabetes. I only hope that I can keep it off now !

I managed it by sticking to 1200 calories a day (sometimes less) which consisted of roughly 50% carbs, 25% fats and 25% energy - sometimes it would have been a little more for each figure and sometimes less. I also wrote everything down onto the CalorieKing website which did the calculations for me.
