Hospital Verdict.

Except Personal Attacks

Postby Maywalk » Thu Oct 07, 2010 11:08 am

Thanks all you lovely folk.
It is a waiting game now but I can understand how worrying it is for
hubby and the family.
Just keeping my fingers crossed that the hospital team can come up with some
explanation soon.

It was me who mentioned epilepsy Eve because my father suddenly started
with it when he got older and having checked up in my medical dictionary it does state in there that it can happen to the elderly.
I have turned 80 now so I can expect anything.

Maisie - if it were epilepsy and I sincerely hope it ain't, you should be feeling alright, between blackouts? From what you have been saying, that is not the case?

Medication for epilepsy is reasonably successful these days, preventing most fits. What other tests are they planning, in order to get a clear diagnosis?

I dont think there are many more tests they can give me Anya.
I have had the Tilt table test and the 24 hour test and Gawd alone knows what else and now I have this loop recorder inserted into my chest which is roughly the size of a memory stick. Its supposed to pick up any abnormalities of the heart IF and WHEN I have another attack but I have had two small attacks so just got to wait now for the graph reading to see if anything is amiss.
