Watch out - another scam

Postby Penny » Mon Oct 11, 2010 7:12 pm

Received an Email from Barclay's asking for me to check the details on my card. I don't have one. Even left a telephone number. Nothing like the correct one. So, watch out. cheers Penny

[font=Verdana]same scam over here ... received a message to call a bank, given a number to call ... since I got the message via SMS on my cell phone, I just sent a reply: "Do not contact me again. I don't know who you are. I will call the police". Since this was the third message I'd received -- same one each time -- and I've not heard from them since, maybe my answer shut them up?

They are scamming using all the banks. I got one from Halifax and I just deleted it. Halifax don't email you on things like that.
