Food experts come to Aberdeen
Members of the public will be able to raise any food-related issues that affect them at the Scottish Food Advisory Committee (SFAC) meeting on Wednesday 3 November 2010.
Anyone with an interest in food is invited to come along and air their views on the issues that are important to them.
Topics on the agenda include a talk on the role of Vitamin D by Dr Harry Burns, Chief Medical Officer for Scotland, and a presentation on the Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) Annual Review 2009/10 by Uel Morton, Chief Executive of QMS.
Professor Graeme Millar CBE, SFAC Chairman, said: 'We want people to come along, listen to the discussion and share their views on the food-related issues that matter to them.
'The meeting is open to members of the public, food producers, retailers, local authority representatives and anyone else with an interest in food. We are committed to listening to the views of Scottish stakeholders and putting consumers first'.
