Had our annual bazaar today - a bit stressful for me as I organise it, do the 'marketing',
and collect the prizes for the tombola. As the key holder I am there from 7.00am, and don't sleep well the
night before as I think I will oversleep

We usually do quite well - usually about £700-£800. All the money we raise this year is going to 'my' hospice,
so you can imagine how thrilled I was when the amount was totalled up....£1028.00!!!

That is the most we have ever taken. It is hard work, but well worth while.
With the other fundraising efforts this year we will be able to give £2000 to the Rowans Hospice - a wonderful place.

Fantastic Mazzy.
You worked hard but reaped the rewards of a good figure at the end of it for your hospice .

Just wonderful, Mazzy, well done you !!!!!

Last year I gave the children's hospice a professional food processor that I had won, for their annual open day and raffle. They had over three hundred prizes, very good ones - including a car - all donated. I never win anything, it was nice being able to do that.

Why do people have to spoil things? Not going to waffle on about what I do but it is quite a lot....anyway, I had organised for the local Hospice Support Group to have a table at the Bazaar. At the end one of them thanked 'Marilyn and her band of helpers' for the magnificent result.

I have just received an e mail from one of the members taking issue with this, and asking that I ensure that the Hospice is made aware that this is the result of everyone's hard work........................

Think they could be looking for a new secretary if this is the way it is going.........so fed up.

Such a downer for you LLL. Unfortunately there are always one or two like this; 'tis the way of the world.

Our local Museum is at the tender mercy of one such person and the volunteers are, as a result, melting away.

Nasty piece of work Mazzy - borderline personality disorder - ignore her. Keep on with the good work, they'd be lost without you. :grouphug:
