Can you play a musical instrument?

Postby Maywalk » Mon Nov 15, 2010 8:48 pm

Have you ever, or do you still play a musical instrument?
OR have you ever wanted to learn to play one ?

NO comments please about playing the fool.

What makes me ask is I was talking about musicians to my son last Saturday because he used to be in a group that lasted for some years doing the rounds at the local working mens clubs and local hops in the East Midlands.
He played lead guitar and I asked him if he still played bcause I had not heard him mention it for quite sometime.
I was surprised when he said that he has got arthritis so badly in his thumbs now that he cant hold it.
My hubby used to play the tenor sax and clarinet but he gave it up years ago after he came out of the RAF.
I used to play the piano and I had to give that up some years ago because my hands had started to seize up and I could not span the keys.
I used to love an hour playing the piano to help relieve me of any stress that had built up over the day.

I dont want any wisecracks about organ playing from the men.

I can't play any musical instrument - useless when it comes to music.
Avoid the evil, and it will avoid thee.

Comb and Bronco toilet paper!

I don't have any musical ability but if I did, I would love to play a church organ.
