Are dental check ups as thorough as they used to be? I remember when I used to have them the dentist poked at every nook and cranny and nearly always found something to do. I have check ups every 6 months, it just seems to be a quick look around with no poking. Yesterday I went for my usual examination for the past couple of weeks I have been suffering from sensitivity again when drinking hot or col I have been complaining of this problem for years and visited 3 months ago, dentist said just be carful when flossing and use sensodyne toothpaste this seemed to help. Now he has found a root cavity and I have to have an extraction today, surely this didn't just happen in 3 months.
