To actually see them hovering in the air with their wings visible only as a blur is wonderful. Shutterfrog has any number of them flying around her house during summer.

What a lovely posting, Maisie, thank you :grouphug: There was a documentary just last night about hummingbirds, on a cable channel, how they nest on the same tree as hawks, for protection against other predators. They are too small and fast for the hawks to bother with them.

Isn't it wonderful to see a teenager so gentle and loving, with such a tiny critter?
