Where abouts do you live?
Well we have stocked up just in case we are snowed in. Who knows.
Always make sure we have powdered milk, tea, sugar, bread, butter and potatoes, oh and a little drop of the good medicine to keep us warm. :roflmao:

South of France, we do have seasons here but thankfully summer is our longest!

Davy left for work at 7 this morning and was home again by 10 - lorry jackknifed and roads not been gritted.

The Wet Office prophesied all sort of arctic mayhem for this area but, touch wood touch my nose, we have been very lucky, compared to other parts of the UK. Bitterly cold, wind-chill of minus ten but no snow and no icy road. For which I am deeply grateful.

Supposed to become milder by the weekend, for everyone. Here's hoping :now:

Sorry, my previous post seems to have duplicated itself. However. Lovely and sunny today, still freezing but no more snow as yet. Take care everyone and a Happy December. cheers Penny

There's plenty of snow and ice here but Edinburgh is a heap worse Davy says - blizzards and broken down cars etc. I remember going to school every day, parents to work, buses still on thirty/forty years ago - we wiz HARD then!! Softies nowadays.

It's been terrible here today, blizzards from 9.30am to 2.30pm, when I left work at 1.30, all the buses had stopped, no taxi's .... no option but to set off and walk the 12 miles home, tried thumbing a lift but no begger stopped, even when I flashed a bit of leg

Eventually I saw a bus which was going into the City Centre so that gave me a chance to have a rest and luckily I also managed to get another bus going to my side of Leeds, I eventually got home at 5.30, looking like the Wreck of the Hesperus
