That was amazing Maisie - thought provoking too.

Absolutely agree, Evie, especially the way it was presented so as to be thought provoking.

P.S. there were several big names born in my birth year, but my favorite has always been Alan Alda.

I'm always quite amazed at how far we have come technologically in the last 60 years - and how little we have progressed socially.

When I think of me as an idealistic 18 year old with high hopes for an end to foolish wars over nothing, and a more equal way of life for everyone then I could weep - so much time wasted on wars, so many lives lost and blighted and we are still doing it. So many protests ignored by those we have voted for and who consistently lie and cheat their way into, and staying, in power.

And I fear it will ever be thus ... particularly infuriating is the truth of your last sentence.
