A smashing time.

I was rather mad at myself yesterday afternoon. I decided to buy some new serving dishes and as I walked from the store to the car park I very carefully carried them with both hands wrapped round the carrier bag they were in and holding it underneath. I got to the car and let go with one hand to reach for my keys and the bag burst with the weight. They smashed on the floor, every one broke. It was chucking it down with rain and by the time I'd picked all the broken pot up off the car park I was like a drowned rat and very fed up! Luckily they weren't expensive (Courtesy of Wilko) but it was the quickest £20 I've ever thrown away...

Its a good job you had not visited an auction Carol and bought some Clarice Cliff.
Never mind these things happen and it all helps to make us a little bit more wary next time and I can just imagine how you felt.
What did hubby say???????

Bad luck Caroljoyce. I did the self same thing about 12 years ago - bought at an auction so no box and the lot went. I was as sick as the proverbial parrot!!
