Be kind to yourself - you deserve it.
Avoid the evil, and it will avoid thee.

Liz - a very sad and difficult time for you and you are doing all the right things, being aware of your blessings, with your children, being busy, getting out and about.

Eating properly is most essential, I found that when I was first on my own, too easy to throw something - anything - together.

Cook as you would for someone you love. Plan meals, shop, have plenty of fruit and good ingredients in the house. Simple, nourishing meals take very little time to prepare and give a lifetime of good health.

So sorry to hear your sad news, Liz. Nothing I can say can bring you comfort I'm sure. Just want to say that we are all here for you.

Anya gives very good advice on eating. There was a lady who lived near me who, after she lost her husband, could not bear to sit at the table to eat and used to eat from her armchair. I think you need to eat at the table and eat all the things you enjoy eating.

Stay strong!

Reading that news made me want to collapse in a heap, I know hubby would want you to move slowly forward and remember those happy years you've spent together, which you will never forget and always cherish.
