Kezzi's new sweater

Standard Dachshunds are so hard to find coats for as they have the body of a medium dog but such short legs. We found this sweater to keep her warm. Both Kezzi and Jovi have 'Barbour' type coats for wet weather but they are not very warm. Kezzi feels the cold, she is a wire haired daxie, but is recessive, so looks like a smooth coat. Her parent and her puppies all had wire haired coats. Jovi, her half brother has a wiry coat as he should

So fashionable - the envy of all the other dogs.

Actually Tony, some of the American sites actually sell Daxie coats that look like a hot dog roll, so making the dog look stupid as hot dog.

No she was apprehensive of Jovi jumping up and duffing her up. He was a bit jealous of the attention she was getting.

I love it !! Very sophisticated doggie you have.

Years ago I had a dachshund. Very protective she was ... took a nip at the postman's leg. Squirted right between my legs to get at him. All the poor guy was doing was trying to deliver a package to me. We paid for the hospital visit ... no stitches needed, fortunately.

Loved her anyway.

Yes Rocky, they can be very unpredictable, I wouldn't trust them near our baby grandson. We have a baby gate in our living room doorway, so we can keep them away from baby when visiting
