McCain has recalled some of its Sweet Potato with Rosemary and Garlic, because the product might contain small pieces of grit that became pushed into the sweet potato when it was harvested. You should no eat the product. The pieces of grit are not considered to be harmful.

Pack size: 400g
Lot numbers: Only lot numbers starting with the following four digits are affected: 0104, 0105, 0106, 0107, 0117, 0118, 0119, 0120, 0146, 0147, 0148, 0149
The lot numbers are 10 digits long and can be found on the back of the pack, next to the ‘best before’ date.
The company has recalled the affected product from consumers and issued a press release, which appeared in the national press today, Wednesday 22 December 2010. Point-of-sale notices have also been issued explaining why the product has been recalled.
