The biggest surprise of all

The biggest surprise of all

Postby DaisyB » Thu Dec 23, 2010 10:31 pm

We had a phone call this afternoon, just after we'd got back from last minute shopping, from Steve. He was phoning to tell us that he and Emma got married very quietly this morning. The only witnesses were Emma's best friend, Ian (our younger son) and of course Arthur.
We are over the moon but at the same time a little disappointed that we weren't there. But I do understand their reasons. They just wanted a no fuss wedding, and Emma has a large family. Apparently this was all arranged in August and I'm amazed that they and Ian were able to keep it a secret.
At last I can refer to Emma as my daughter in law, and not Steve's partner.

Aaww what a fantastic surprise for you and Dave June.
A super Christmas present.

I expect deep down you are disappointed with not being there but in a way I admire them for not wanting a lot of fuss.

Good luck to them and I hope they have a happy and successful marriage.

What a lovely surprise. Such lovely photos too.

Lisa Amelie's Mummy)and her fiance are getting married on 4th Jan. All done very quickly as they didn't want a fuss but they slipped up and told their friends on Facebook and now 52 are going to the register office and loads more later to the reception. So nmow it's all become so exciting.
