Lucky Me.

Since I started having blackouts my hubby does NOT like me
to stay up after he has gone to bed in case I have one when he is sound asleep.
Consequently I have been going to bed with him at just gone 10pm just to stop him worrying. :huffin:

I had to resort to do some reading in bed because I am a poor sleeper and after reading
one or two fictional books I cant say that I was very thrilled.
I much prefer a true story but with not being able to get to the library now
I was making do with books that I bought at the supermarket.

I mentioned to my son on Tuesday when he came to see us that I could do with a TV in the
bedroom so that I could watch it with the subtitles on so that it would NOT interfere with his Dad's sleep.

I went shopping today with my lovely d-i-l and when I got back my son had fixed my laptop up
so that I can sit with it on my knees on top of the foldaway table in bed and not only watch programmes on the TV but I can still get my e-mail AND play Scrabble in Facebook.

It was a super surprise and one of the best things that has come my way for quite some time.
I wont mind going to bed at 10pm now.

Nice one Maisie.
Laptops are handy for that . We take ours on holiday with us solely to watch T.V. programmes in bed because I'm such a dreadful sleeper.

Yes me too Mo I am not very good at sleeping either.

What has made it better for me is the fact that I can still play Scrabble.

That is good news Maisie, what a thoughtful lad you have!!! When we were having our bungalow built here we had headphones to use when one of us wanted to watch something and the other sleep. They also came in handy on a recent hospital stay for hubby when he used his portable DVD player, although he was in a room of his own by using the headphones meant he could watch during the night if he wanted to. Great!

Thanks Corrie.
I have a super family and my granddaughter has just phoned to say that she and Sam -her boyfriend- will be taking me to the hospital next Wednesday.
They dont have to go back to University until Sunday the 9th of January and she insisted on them taking me so that her Mum or Dad wont have to have time off from work to take me.

Playing scrabble in bed, maisie...the ultimate luxury!
Should I have an image of you in a pink negligee trimmed with swansdown?

I do think you have such a wonderful family - what a wonderful world it would be if there were more like them.

Yes I am VERY LUCKY with having a super family Mazzy.

As for the swansdown negligee it just wouldn't go with the wrinkles. :roflmao:

Whats more I wouldn't want to give hubby any ideas at his time of life. :huffin:

Aww thank you Anya.

I agree about the swansdown.
Its bad enough with hubby snoring all night never mind sneezing as well.
I can at least take my hearing aid out when I go to bed to deaden the snoring but sneezing would lead to a divorce.
