I'm very tempted to get one of these Wii's but I'll wait and see if Old-n's still using it in a few months time or if it's been put away in a cupboard and forgotten ... I still think it's a fad that you'll get sick of after a month!

We've had ours almost 2 years now caroljoyce. A friend actually visits us once a fortnight to join in with the golf.

I bought one for the wee one last year. I have had a few goes, but soon told her to take it in her bedroom........

Got the "Let's Dance" at Christmas, but my back's been giving me gip, so I haven't done any moves yet.....

*feels faint*

I saw this in the Mail on line and it reminded me of this thread.... What a miracle machine it must be.

All four of my kids have a Wii. It all started about 2 years ago, the parents and the kids are now fitter and watch less TV. When they're not at home they seem fit enough to do go tramping or running with their work colleagues or friends. Generally speaking it's been a succesful activity for all.

Couple of years ago I asked my sons what the little boys might like for Xmas, he said there was a computer game that he thought was interesting, with historical facts to discover.

He wrote out the name, I went into the big Toys'r'Plastic and asked if they had that game about World War II.

From my reckoning that's a 4 minute mile or thereabouts!!

But  I ask myself; how do you run on a board? ...It can't be like proper running.

Well done anyway... if it's keeping you fit that's all that matters.

You don't run on the board, you run on the spot, you have a Wii remote in your hand and the sensor tells the console (which comes up on telly) how you have done. We have a large lounge/diner and I've been known to run round it with the remote in my hand!
