Japanese Acer.

Nice to see there is a section now for the gardeners.
Better than having one topic for everything.

I have an Acer in a pot on the patio.
When I got it last year, it was cut price as it was looking a bit sorry for itself.
Mistake on my part, I think!!!

It has now come into leaf - but, the leaves have a lot of something like mildew on them - white dusty stuff.
I don't know if it is that or not.
The trees are supposed to be kept away from any winds, as that damages the leaves.
Huh - impossible.

Anyone know if this possibly is mildew - is it too early?

Mildew can be caused by lack of water would you believe. As it is in a pot Emm, have you been watering it regularly?

Thanks Monsy, I shall take a look at that.

Oh yes, Daisy, my pots get watered every day - if it doesn't rain.

Widget - between you and I, I belong to a gardening forum. Haven't been there in a long time though - and - thought someone here may know.
