I am lucky to have my gardens, I agree, but we don't know how long we'll be able to keep it up as it's now getting a bit much.
This past year, I've also had to do more for Mum (88 years, in her own bungalow still, but starting not to be able to manage housework and her garden). And, last October, I broke my right wrist and severely dislocated it so much so that I had to have an operation where they put a metal plate in it.
So, as far as the gardening goes, I had 5 months of not being able to do anything in it and I'm still playing catch-up.
I know that we won't be able to look after it much longer and no-one around here can get a gardener for love or money, and we will have to move in the not too distant future.
When that day comes, it will break my heart.
