Tiarella

I went to the Garden Centre yesterday to buy my hanging basket and tubs plants and, whilst there I spotted a plant that really caught my eye.

It's called a Tiarella and, although I have been gardening for the past 50-odd years, I had never heard of it before.

The leaves are quite pretty and the other nice thing about it is that it flowers profusely when planted in the shade.

The flowers are unusual looking as well - pretty colours too.

I forgot to mention that it's a perennial and is clump-forming - which is good for splitting once it gets established.

That's lovely. Isn't there one that looks a bit like that in red?

Might that be Primula Viallii, Monsy? I grow those as well and they look a picture planted in a tub.
