Bad Memory

The Minister for Aging in our Federal Government has had a bad memory lapse - he forgot all about registering the shares and investments he holds, including some in Aged Care Homes, in the Parliamentary Register.

When the story broke he did remember one investment but since then a further 72 investments have come to light and now it appears that his wife also has any number of investments.

H was sacked from the Ministry by the PM, John Howard, and since then has stated he will be resigning from Parliament some say at the insistence of the PM.

I think it was a case of "selective" memory loss Lacey  it seems to be something which happens to a lot of politicians at some time. Maye it's a type Parliamentary Repitive Strain Injury :dunno:

Very convenient - I'll bet Howard was ropeable. He'd just got through questioning the Opposition's and especially the Opposition Leader's integrity !

Another Federal Minister was sacked at the beginning of the month for meeting the same corrupt former WA Premier, mentioned in the link above, who met with Federal Opposition Leader Kevin Rudd.
