What a surprise, my MP wasn't listed among them :rolleye11: maybe he voted anonymously :huffin:

Seriously though, it's my opinion that most MP's start off with the best intentions, but the minute they get their first pay packet for doing chuff all, then it's downhill from there

My MP is a Lib Dem - I see there were none!

I must say I am gobsmacked at Ann Widdecombe because I thought she was a very straighforward and honest person - at least that is how the convent school which we both attended taught us to be (she went there as I left).

Mind you, in retrospect, as she was previously staunch CofE, I have always wondered how she woke up one morning suddenly believing in the infalability of the Pope and the transubstantiation of the bread and wine! It was more to do with the advent of women priests than anything else I feel. I guess even that lady goes the way the wind blows!

Well she is soon to retire to Dartmoor (yes, she has bought a property on Dartmoor) and will obviously slink off with the amount of pension that most of us would have liked to have as our salary when we were working - to say nothing of the royalties from her books (2 so far) and her payments for writing for the Daily Express! (I bet the removal of the 10p tax rate won't half p*** her off though!)

Shame on you, Ann!
