IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN UNTHINKABLE

Postby Monika » Sun Oct 05, 2008 11:55 am

I am truly gobsmacked that Gordon Brown has seen fit to bring back that shamed (but not ashamed) Peter Mandelson.

Twice he has shown himself to be totally untrustworthy, in a most spectacular way even for MPs, and was, eventually, shunted off to Brussels where, I suppose, the idea was "out of sight, out of mind". Of course, he should have been sacked!

After that stint had finished, he should have sunk quietly into oblivion - but - no - Gordon Brown (who we are told cannot stand the man ) has seen fit to bring him into our government - like nothing has happened and we have no memory or intelligence?

Someone said that "People get the government they deserve". Well, the good, honest, hardworking people of this country (and yes there are still a goodly number of them) don't deserve one that has Peter Mandelson in it - that's for sure. :tantrum2: :tantrum2: :tantrum2:

Maybe it's a case of "what he knows, not who he knows" 'cos it sure as hell ain't his personality :rolleye11:
