They say AVG 7.5 will end soon, or have no more up-dates, so you will have to go to AVG 8, there are a lot of not very happy people on there forum,
I think it slows my PC down, it takes hours, mine is over 2hrs to scan,

still I will put up with it.

Do you have to pay for AVG8?

Well good luck all, I am now trying to live with it,
it is the time it takes to scan that annoys me, it seems to slow things down when it is scanning, have tried doing it while I have my tea, but it does not take me over 2 hours to eat a bit of bread and cheese :rolleye11:

If its scanning while I'm on the computer I stop it. You can set it up to scan at whatever time you want ....... e.g. 2am

I've set mine to scan at lunch time. It acts as a reminder for me. :rolleye11:

See anti virus and a "time for food reminder" and it's free I tell you free.
