There is another service pack for XP .... SP3. Word of warning. I downloaded it and installed it .... rebooted as per instructions ......... and it went into a perpetual boot.
Accessed the internet from my friends PC and discovered that if you have a HP PC with an AMD 64 chip ........ you've got problems. I had to boot it up in safe mode and do a system restore to the day before.
They're working on a fix for it just now, I await in anticipation.

I think SP3 is a step too far for me, Polter...I had enough problems getting SP2 to let me use my computer!

It's supposed to run your computer faster, which is why I downloaded it. I just hope the automatic update doesn't .........

I hate those updates, they always end up messing up your computer. I think its their way of messing things up so you need to go for the latest packages.
