Today, I can't access my Bookmarks list.

When I click on the icon the three options are feint and therefore inaccessible.

Please does anyone know what I should do to bring them back?

Good morning, Oddie.

It's BT Yahoo Browser.

I now have to go into 'History' to get to this site and others that I visit regularly; anything else I have to go to 'Favorites' and not everything is on there.

As it has only just happened (yesterday) I did a system restore last evening , but that hasn't done the trick.

Appears to be a problem with BT, Monika. Looks as if your bookmarks are held remotely and are not available. According to service status........"We are aware of a temporary problem where some customers may not be able to access their bookmarks in the BT Yahoo Browser. Our engineers are working to resolve this problem and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."

In fact, the recommendation by a BT Tech elsewhere seems to be not to use the BT yahoo browser at all, but use bogstandard IE or Firefox. :rolleye11:

You can get your bookmarks here BT Yahoo Bookmarks

Instructions I have found.........

You’ll need to update your browser to IE8 as the older one is no longer supported. Once you’ve done that follow the information below.

1. Connect to the internet

2. Go to http://bookmarks.yahoo.com

3. Sign in with your BT email address and password - this will bring up a list of your bookmarks

5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Tools

6. Click on "Export Bookmarks"

7. Make sure that all the bookmarks are selected

8. Below that where it says "Select Export Format" make sure it is set to for Internet Explorer and click "Export"

9. Save to the desktop

10. Open a new instance of Internet Explorer

11. Then click on File, then Import

12. Select "Favourites" click Next

13. Browse to the "Bookmarks" file that should now be on your desktop and click Next

14. Your Bookmarks should now be in the favourites tab in Internet Explorer

And then ditch BT Yahoo Browser! Appears to have been an intermittent problem with it for a long time.

Many thanks for your help, Oddie; I wouldn't have been able to do that in a million years, without it.

Your instructions were idiot-proof too, thank goodness, which means that I can now access all my sites again.

:thankyou:
