Forum Improvements

Postby george 45 » Wed Jul 13, 2011 4:53 pm

I really do think it would be in the best interests of the forum for everyone concerned if
the forums were to be pruned to get rid of the ones that do not seem to be attracting posts
and limit the forum to just one or two different topics.
This would certainly improve the speed of page access and improve navigation etc.
Get rid of the 'shoutbox' and the redundant smilies, and the blogs, etc.
What do you think ?

We tend to leave it to Oddie she is the lady who does the job and we are all grateful to her for a job well done.

I think I'm happy enough with it as it is.

The forum is as Eve wanted it.

Once I sort out the registration problems, I'll look into what went wrong with the choosing of styles and there is the option of a shoutbox free template among them..but nobody else has complained about the bells and whistles which have been on this forum from the beginning.

I cannot think anyone of us would disagree with this. We owe it to the memory of Eve who was a good friend to us all.

Me too, leave it as it is.

You've got it in one Oddie -

The forum is as Eve wanted it.

It'll do for me.

I would not want anything changing on here because I have been looking at old posts from when The Rowan Tree was first planted way back in 2005.

It brought back many memories of folks who are no longer with us, that includes Kevin, Ashlan, Dragon Lady and Our Eve.

NO please DONT take anything off that brings back such super memories. :huffin:

You're right Maisie I still treasure the incredible kindness and support I received during My Gina's last few short months.

There were Robbie and Twinsmum (Barbara) too, whose deaths were so unexpected.
