Attachments and Linked photos

Rowan would appreciate it if you could keep attachment photos and photos linked from elsewhere to 600X 400 pixels max..........if a member is working on an 800X600 screen, and a lot of us do, because it makes the text bigger, uploading/linking photos that size or bigger means they have to scroll to actually see the photo, and then have to scroll for every post on the same page.

The limit was set at 800X600, so nobody has done what they weren't allowed to do, but it has been brought to Rowan's attention that some members are having problems with that size, so it has been reduced to the above.

To resize photos in your graphics programme, you can usually find the option in the Images tab, and if you don't have a graphics programme like PSP, photoshop or something on that lines, Irfanview is worth downloading.and it is free and simple.

But if anyone needs to find out how to reduce piccie sizes, tell me what you are using, and I'll try to help..Rowan wouldn't know where to start! :rolleye11:

BDSizer is a free download to resize, sharpen, frame and copywrite your photos. I alsohave Irfanview and ASmallerImage but much prefer BDSizer, it's so easy to use.

BDSizer
BDSizer is a tool that allows you to quickly downsize or upsize photos and then save it using a maximum file size. There are additional options to add some predefined frames and caption title. After saving the photos can be uploaded using the integrated FTP-upload program. Photos can be processed in single or batched mode. Version 1.5.1 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

I like the way it selects a frame that complements the picture.
You can get rid of the BDSizer logo and put your own name, or whatever you want there.
