Just because I can't resist showing off our resident glamour-puss, here are a couple of pictures of Lucy who rules us with an iron paw and who definitely looks better in my padded waistcoat than I do!

Image

She hates to miss out on anything and was very concerned when I started packing for a weekend away last Autumn in case she got left behind!

Needless to say, we stayed in a pleasant but ordinary hotel while Her Maj queened it in a 5-star cattery!

She's probably thinking - ... Surely they're not leaving ME behind ?

She is beautiful, but then, she's a cat, so she would be.

She's gorgeous!

I'll swear cats know when their owners are going away. Mine seems to sense it as well as soon as any suitcases appear.

Funny how they do that, isn't it MM? Even if I can see through the window that Lucy is sunning herself at the far end of the garden while I make the call to book the cattery, somehow, she just KNOWS.... and will spend days treating me with utter disdain because I dared to even think of disrupting her routine. It seems I'm not meant to remember that all the people at the cattery love her to pieces and spoil her rotten; that she's well fed there on just about any faddy catfood her little heart desires; she always returns bright eyed and silky-furred AND wails dismally in the car all the way home because she's had to leave the cat-spa!
