Gigi and Donald Duck.

Postby Maywalk » Sat Jan 21, 2006 11:37 pm

Had to tell you this story about Gigi.
Last week I bought a soft toy duck for her to play with not thinking that she would really take to it.
It wasn’t an expensive toy and Gigi found out how to make it quack. :D
Its been quacking for a week on and off since she found out how to do it.
It started fading away with continually making it quack and last night when I was playing with her the quack just stopped completely.

Gigi sat on it and tried biting it and throwing it up in the air to make it work but all to no avail. She looked SO miserable.

I said very seriously to her “What have you done with Donalds quack? I think its gone under the settee. Go and see if you can find it.”
She went to look under there and still holding Donald in her mouth she looked very dejected when she came out again because the quack wasn’t there. This is a photo of her with a look on her face as if to say
“Well I have lost its quack but no-one is taking Donald off me so I wont be losing him.”:D :D :D

I must add just in case anyone thinks she might have swallowed something that the toy is not ripped in any way its just the box thing inside that wont work. Gigi cant make out why.

I think she is more bewildered than annoyed Rowan. She wont let anyone take Donald. She keeps going under the settee sniffing around for the quack. :D :D :D

I have never known her to be like that with a toy before.

You will have to go and find another one for her, our 'Girls' had a frog once which made a noise, still have it, and if you press hard in the right place you can still get a faint 'croak'

Hi Widget,

I have just come back from a three mile walk with Gigi in freezing fog :(
After washing her paws and bottom and giving her a good brush and comb I said to her "Now go and find Donalds quack"
She came waddling into the bathroom where I was tidying stuff away with Donald firmly in her mouth and a look of delight on her face because Donald was letting out a very faint quack.
She put it down at my feet and just give a little yap as much as to say "I have found it." :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Sounds a bit like the noise box in our frog, if you get the right place it will work.

Oh, poor soul.
Doesn't it make you feel sorry for them, when you can't make them understand what has happened.
