Postby Oddquine » Sat Apr 22, 2006 6:19 pm

New lambs from just up the road.......the ones whose mothers either didn't have enough milk for triplets.........or whose mothers just didn't want to be bothered! (Don't I know that feeling! )

There are 15 being bottle fed!

Lovely Oddie - don't like them when they turn into sheep though. :rolleye11:

Mutton pies aren't bad!

They've got a better life indoors anyway, Oddie. They look as though they are thriving!

That's true Libby! I eat meat, but I only give a fleeting thought to the animals that supply it!

 The lambs we see in the fields round here usually go to one of our local butchers who slaughters his own meat his motto is "From field to plate" you can buy his meat on line.
One of his shops in the next village is the butchers on The League Of Gentlemen

It is probably because when we see the meat on the butchers slab, it doesn't resemble an animal at all.
We went to a deer park in Scotland. In the resturant, they were serving venison.
Seeing people eating it nearly made me sick!!!!!
