Peppy the Guardian!

Peppy is a Rhodesian Ridgeback weighing in at 45 kilos. His mother was a pig hunting dog and they don't have a very good reputation as a breed, but he should have been a girl and had puppies! Here guarding youngest grandchild Holly.



Minnie, the toy fox terrier, weighs 4.5kilos and accompanies me to work usually. I have a harness that attaches her to the roll bar in case she falls off but she hasn't yet.

What lovely dogs. I know someone who had a Rhodesian Ridgeback. He was very soft until they had burglars! He seemed to change overnight and got very aggressive. They gave him to a farmer in the end, I hope he kept the dog away from the livestock!

We've had mismothered lambs over the years, and we bring them inside for a few days while we bottle feed them. It was strange that Peppy wouldn't let the cats near them, we figured he'd seen what they do to rabbits!
