A little tale of two dogs who met up for the first time through their owners wanting to let them have a taste of life before they were too old.
This is Zack meeting Holly and it wasn’t too long before they got to know each other.

Love at first sight.

There were 8 altogether Monsy.

Zack belongs to my e-pal in OZ who will be going in this week for an operation for lung cancer.

The puppy event has helped to take her mind off the coming op.

I have just come back from collecting Gigi's casket and I must say its really lovely with her name written on a lovely brass plaque on top.

I was shedding a few tears as I came out of the vets and its a good job Tami ( my granddaughter ) was with me to carry the casket because its quite heavy.

The casket is beautifully carved Monsy so I will keep it on my unit.
Its been sealed so that I cant get to the ashes but I dont mind.
As I love anything wooden she has been given pride of place among my wooden animal collection.

Thanks Monsy.

Yes comforting Rowan to know that there is something there to remind us of her lovable ways.
When I walked in with her hubby came and gave me a big hug and we both had a little weep because she was so loved by all of us.
Hubby said "She is home for good now."

The vet arranged everything. Evidently they use this place for their clients pets if they are asked to sort things out.

I have the bigger de-lux wooden casket and it has her name on top on a brass plaque.

Hi Deja,
I must admit to being lost without her.
Not only me but my neighbours as well, plus the postie. :sad:

She was loved by everyone who came and children could do what they liked with her. She loved and trusted them all. :sad:

This grieving is the price we have to pay Maisie for the love, loyalty and companionship they give us. Although it's hellish going through it, I still think it's worth it.

I am at the moment watching my dog gradually become less and less able to get around. He is, thank goodness not too bad as yet but I know the time is coming soon where I will have to make the decision when he is not longer happy and free of pain. Unless some higher power takes the choice from me, which I hope will happen so that this terrible decision will not rest with me.

It is such a lousy thing to face, but we do and ten to one we will have to face it again and again. I could'nt imagine my life without an animal to love, and I guess most of you feel the same. :grouphug:
