My new cat

Reluctantly ( 8) ) I have to announce that I have a new cat.....to add to the other 4!!!!

He was a stray - my lovely next door neighbours decided to make a fuss of him, let him sleep in their conservatory, and feed him regulary.

Then they b******d off back to Spain, where they live for 8 months of the year!

I have advertised for his owners in the local paper, phoned RSPCA and CPL to no avail. Last week I took him to the vet to see if he was micro chipped....no, he's not. The vet thinks he is about 5years old, and said he was in good nick!

He is probably everything in a cat that I wouldn't choose - a tom, though neutered, ginger, long haired and flat faced. We have booked him in with a cat groomer, as his hair is badly matted.

However he adores me!! (Can't blame him)

'The Girls' are slowly getting used to him.....he is certainly at home with
us :)

Clarence ( looks like a lion, but not cross-eyed) is here to stay.

I'm not into photos yet I'm afraid.

The vet did laugh when I said I was looking for a home for him - I was holding him at the time and he was gazing up, and purring so loud.

"He has found his home" she said.... what a wise woman.

Your not wrong there Emm - I have never known such a good natured cat.
He seems to take everything in his stride - taking him to the vet was a dream. No histrionics jsut calmly looking round, and interested in everything.
We are so pleased with our new boy

I got my cat after I had asked at the PDSA if they knew of any kittens wanting rehoming
(I didn't know of places like Cats Protection League, in those days).
When I went to the address they gave me, I was told that all of the kittens had been reserved, except one - and nobody wanted him because he was ginger.

Their loss, my gain.
