Have a thought for 'Edge'

Postby ciderman_nz » Thu Jun 08, 2006 6:54 am

Edge is a police dog who was stabbed while trying to stop a knife weilding man stabbing himself. Edge had a blood transfusion from a retired greyhound. What touched me is that his handler has not left his side for 48 hours! During helicopter flights and operations. Good on him!

Aaaaawww Michael.
That has touched my heartstrings and brought a tear but lets remain positive and my prayers go out to Edge and the devoted handler.
Keep us posted if you hear any more.

The poor wee scone!! I hope he recovers quickly. Edge and his handler have a special relationship and I'm not surprised he's right there beside him.

Who says animals aren't heros? I bet his handler is hurting every bit as much as Edge

Update on 'Edge'! Filmed on TV emerging from Massey University animal hospital with his handler,(who looked considerably more buggered than Edge). An elegant shaved side and a lamp shade on his head he climbed into the car to go home on R & R. Seemed OK

Good luck to both of them. Glad he's well enough to go home now.

So glad Edge is alright when you have a animal who is suffering like that you feel so helpless as you cant do any thing,
