I just got lost! Maisie reminded me that Rowan Tree exists after a computer glitch.

I like chocky! Had a rather harrowing few months- hopefully past tense now. My wife was diagnosed and treatment is just finished for breast cancer.

Sorry to hear that Ciderman. Hope that your wife is recovering from the treatment Wouldn't it be wonderful if and when the day comes that breast cancer is a rarity. At the moment I have a niece and two younger friends having chemo for it, and one of my sisters is being checked for a recurrence ( this will be the third time for her).

Perhaps not in my lifetime but I am sure that a complete cure for cancer will be found. Recent interesting results from experiments using DNA have proved promising. Cancer is not so much an illness as a malfunction so DNA manipulation may be the answer.

Agreed about DNA specific treatments being a hopeful spot on the horizon.

Hi Ciderman. I've just looked in here after being away from here for a few years. How is your Granddaughter.? Holly I think her name is. Remember she was born on the same day as my granddaughter Charlotte. January 9th 2005. Sorry to hear your wife has been unwell and I hope she makes a complete recovery.
