Just spoken to my daughter, she had her feet measured at Cotswolds and they made them to fit, which has helped, they cost around £20. Also I bought her some jelly like heel pads, which she says are almost as good and were much cheaper.
She also does excercises every day which the specialist gave her, which is gradually improving it, one thing which she says really helps when the pain's at it's worst, is rolling a plastic bottle full of frozen water, as this takes down the swelling.
The only other option she's been given is steroid injections under her foot, which she will only do as a last resort
