Morning Dita,Mazzy and all, Wow Mazzy, all sounds good, what about up-lift. ha ha. We expect to see a picture on here when you have had your moneys worth.
Up early this morning, decorator arrived ready for start at 8.am. Very prompt, came to check what was needed at about 4.pm yesterday, said, I will be there in the morning and here he is. Very hot here, hope he can cope with such heat. It is only work on some of the outside stuff that needs doing. We must share the same wave length Dita, you talking about painting and here's hubby doing the same. Think Mazzy very brave, could not go for a pluck myself. (no pluck left) Give doggie a big hug and tell her not to get too hot today. Take care all.

cheers Penny :grouphug:

Hi Penny, Mazzy and all, Been at Tesco for a bit of a shop, we were going early but my cousin turned up. It was good to hear all his news about life on his boat, along with his dog. No sun here today so walkies more bearable for our doggie, many hugs coming your way Penny :)
Mazzy that is a reasonable price, go gal, and as Penny says, we want a pic. It is odd how our lives tally, I was thinking about you while in Tesco, they are selling Lamb Shanks too, nearly bought a couple then thought I'd wait and try Sainsbury's. Hope You Ok Penny:) and of course you as well Mazzy :) Take care all.

Another new experience ....placed my first on line grocery order with tesco.
Getting fed up with lugging everything around on my own. Trev can't walk around Morrison's any more and the arthritis in my feet is playing up.
So, expecting my first delivery between 10 & 11 Thursday......hope it works out ok.

OK, I've been kick-started into posting something on this thread!
Greetings to all from Zeeland in the Netherlands where it's fine but a little overcast this morning. The previous few days have been beautifully sunny but with a slight NE breeze to keep the air fresh and the mugginess at bay.
I'm only here on holiday, not for keeps - which is just as well for my waistline. The Dutch know a thing or two about food! :choklit:

In a little while, OH and I are off to Ouddorp to ride a vintage steam tram over the Brouwersdam - should be a good trip and even better if the sun comes out.

Hope your online order arrives OK, Mazzy. I tried both Tesco & Sainsburys but found there were too many substitutions and missing items to be worth the bother. What's the point of getting it delivered if you then have to schlep out for milk and bananas? Now, I use Ocado all the time and they're great, rarely any problems or missing items and really excellent quality fruit and veg.

Morning all, sounds like a fine day all round. Hope your Tesco service proves O.K. Mazzy. Hope you enjoy your trip Andere. How is cousin coping on the boat Dita. Our decorator finished last night, a very good job. Off for the weekly shop at Sainsbury today and hopefully lunch with son. Weather dull but promised brighter later. Just finished bread making for the young gardener who is coming this evening. Love the smell. Big hugs for doggie Dita, better weather for walkies today. Hope all have a good day, take care. cheers Penny

Good morning everyone. Lordy! Penny I thought I'd got on the wrong thread :) Hope you enjoy your Holland visit,Andere had a great hol there a few years ago. We sometimes do our Tesco shop online when we need alot of bulky stuff, ok, occasionally we get a substitute but you have a choice to refuse it. Think for the price of delivery its worth it. Enjoy you shop and lunch Penny, doggie sends special big hugs today. We have not got our painting started yet, you could send him round, please. Monsy you little fibber, you are luvly. Take Care Penny :) and all.

The Tesco experience was excellent. Good use by dates and everything looked great. Once the guy had gone I realised that I was short of one small item. I phoned and was told that I would get a credit, and she wanted to make sure I had received my discount for the first order. By the time I got off the phone I had an e mail confirming credit. Fortunately it was something I wasn't desperate for.
I was very impressed and hope it is always as good.

Morning Dita and all. Nice and sunny, not too hot. Just done some baking, so made a quick lunch. Did the other shank Dita, decided, not to recommend the Sainsbury one. As hubby says, wine gravy nice , but not enough and I found the meat a bit tough on this one. Still prefer Coscto. Might be worth trying Tesco one, I don't get there cause old misery guts does not like the Tesco Stores. Hope all your grocery was O.K. Mazzy. Wonder if the weather is as good in Holland. Take care all and have a good day./ cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all. Lovely today, been to Aldi and bought their mint shanks £4.95, hope they are ok. At Tesco I think its worth the odd substitute when shopping online, it is so much easier when one can avoid lugging shopping and lifting it around. Bit hot for doggie at walk today, but hugs are on way for you. Just think Penny, we could be riding round Amsterdam on our push bikes. Bet it is nice there too.
Take Care Penny :) and all.

Mornin', all! Goede morgen from Wenduine on the Belgian coast, where it's quite breezy, about 16C with occasional outbreaks of sunshine.
The steam tram trip the other day was wonderful, very atmospheric The sun came out and our ticket included a 2-hour cruise on Lake Gravelingen, an artificial lake created as part of the sea defences against floods like those in 1953. It's very scenic and popular with yachtsmen.
Today - no idea what we'll do. A chill-out day which may well be dictated by the warmth or otherwise of the temperature!

Sounds wonderful Andere, enjoy your day. Si hot here am at a loss what to do. This heat has come all too quickly so am not geared up for it. I hope you are taking pictures of the yachts etc. Lucky you. Hope Dita and crew are all o.k. today. Big hugs for doggie, I know it is a little too hot to enjoy walkies. Wish I had my own swimming pool. Going to simply laze about, hubby off to the lake taking pictures of water skiing. Take care all and enjoy July. cheers Penny
