Hi Penny, also Andere, It has been such a contrast today, after the heat my body has been sensitive to this and at times have felt really chilled. Doggie was relieved and bounded around like mad, she sending extra hugs to you Penny too. Nipped off to post a card to my Grandaughter, it is her BD on Tues, on the way back called at Aldi for some Plum Bread which we love. Watched the film Les Miserables 1998, on Movie Mix, it was long but really enjoyable. Just managed to get on the computer, so Andere maybe you completed your work while I have mine still to do. Hope your poorly neck is easier today Penny, take care :) Andere and all.

My IT probs suddenly resolved at midnight, after 24 hours with no usable email page or alternative webpage (which had also refused my password)

Email this morning from Talktalk, told me it was THEM, not me!!!! I wasted part of my life feeling useless/ignorant/thick, in other words.

That is SO infuriating. :tantrum2: I have a little-used Tiscali (now Talk-talk) account and something like this happened about 6 weeks ago and went on intermittently for days on end. At least that time, they put a message right across their front page asking users to be patient while they resolved the problem.

I'm glad you're sorted anyway and that it's not some arcane PC problem of your own.

Good afternoon Penny and all, Vannin & Andere. We had internet dropping out for a couple of years, sometimes 6 or 7 times a day, when writing messages had to copy and paste or chances of losing all written. Changed providers from Orange to BT last year, problems got worse and worse. Only last week got it sorted, our line was found to be faulty all the time 3yrs. We have been put on another line and now no problems so far. How is it they always blame our modems or something, never themselves.
Doggie walkies managed befor the sun came out, good job, too hot now. Big, big hugs for you today Penny :) and big hug from me too (Hugs). Take Care Penny, And All.

Loved the hugs today, made me feel better. Such a day, the boiler went beserk this morning then at 1.45 the electricity went off. Fortunately, not for too long. So pleased I had decided not to bake anything today. Just waiting for the third happening now. Take care all. cheers Penny

Hello all. Penny, I wonder if there is power overload from air conditioners, fans etc? I hope the rest of your year goes without household breakdowns!

Morning Dita and all, thanks vannin, no overload, we had a call from the Elec. folk and they said there was trouble at a sub-station. Fixed now, fingers crossed. This heat is getting me down, too hot to do anything. Don't know how all of you are coping. Had a little rain last night, not much but plenty of lightening during the night. Hope you are all coping well. Give doggie a big hug Dita, expect She might get a little wet sometime today. Take care all and have a good Royal Day. cheers Penny

Morning Penny and all, you must have caught the electric bug from us last week, it was off due to a fault for almost eight hours, they have just removed the generator which was our supply till sorted. We had storms last night and today is a bit rainy, outside it is very dull, almost strange atmosphere. Doggie not at all keen for walkies, she says she will though if she gets hugs from you, Penny :) The humidity is getting me down, no air, how is hubby coping?. Take Care and keep your chin up. :) It'll soon be C.........s Ouch!

Good afternoon, all. Phew! This humidity is getting me down. We had a colossal thunderstorm overnight with torrential rain for several hours. The water was bouncing up off the windowsills and into the house so we had to close the windows which meant it was too stuffy to breathe .... uuuuurgh! Funny how thunderstorms don't seem to clear the air the way they used to. Or am I just mis-remembering that they ever did?
It's now very cloudy and 28oC and absolutely VILE!!!
I've got loads of work to do and am too shredded and sleepless to concentrate so I'm whiling away time on forums again. Ho-hum.

I think we are all feeling the same Andere. Had a little rain this morning but did not amount to much. As the boiler man was coming at 2.p.m. we decided on a quick lunch at the club. Back here and the chappie was waiting at 13.50.Very few out for lunch, all feeling the same, lethargic and low. Never mind, can't stay like this much longer ????? says she. Have a good rest this p.m. and take care all. Big hugs for doggie. cheers Penny
