Good morning everyone. It is quite hazy here in Bucks. I think we are to expect dry conditions today followed by rain tomorrow. The family will come for two nights after the weekend, on their way to Devon, where they are expecting it to be the usual non-heatwave weather! I am taking them out for lunch to celebrate both their birthdays, the s-I-l before holiday and daughter's during it. Charlie, who will be five in October, is well used to eating out and usually wants some of everything!

Good morning Penny, Vannin, Mo and all popping in, its good to have company again, isn't it Penny?. Mo I do wish you all the luck in the world over your knee operation, I know that my cousin only had one done because of severe trouble with other joints being out of line due to disfigured joints in his legs, I guess it depends if a person is suitable to withstand the op on both at once. You are as bad as me with birthdays all coming together Vannin, I have 5 in July. Enjoy the birthday treat. Penny little dog feeling the heat today so walkies cancelled, hugs to you are not cancelled however, and extra big one on the way :) Take Care Penny and all out there.xx

' Sounds like a busy weekend for you and family Vannin, hope all goes well and weather stays good. Wish thefolks, Happy Birthday from us all. I expect Mo, is away now. She is a brave one tho'. Sorry about walkies doggie, keep paws crossed, won't belong tho' according to the weather man. Hubby doing odd jobs today, me, who knows. Think I will go and dance with Fred Astaire. ha ha. Prepared a couple of loaves earlier on, our chappie is coming to do some to tidying up in the garden, too dry to cut the grass. Have a good day all and take care. Extra hugs today. cheers Penny

Hi, all - It's pleasant and sunny here but not yet too hot. My bath towels are outside on the line; shouldn't be any problem to get them dry.

Good luck, Mo, with the knee job. I'll be interested to hear of your progress as my OH has to have this done, but he's having them done one at a time. It'll probably be next year anyway because he recently had a leg infection and they won't operate until that's been completely healed for at least 3 months. Enjoy your weekend, everybody :)

Hello all. So where is this dire weather we were told to expect, arriving from France, to hit the South-East first? Here in Bucks, it is warm, dry, sunny, like the other days of the heatwave - which was forecast to finish today.

Just looked up the online BBC f/cast, and it shows, for South Bucks, heavy rain from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. That should help the garden. But not good for flat areas that might flood.

Hi all.
As from tomorrow I will be near St Osyth with my youngest daughter Lisa, granddaughter Amelie 6 and great Granddaughter Madison 8. Staying for 4 days in one of my Granddaughter's caravan. Hope the weather stays good. Then home and preparing to go into hospital for 6th August.
So hot. Got all the fans going. AC has packed up in my car and too late to get some put in. Just hope we don't have any long holdups.

Morning all! Well, the rain came at 6.30 p.m. but only for two hours - unlike the local forecast! No storm either. Warm again this morning.

I'll be interested to follow your progress too Mo ... My hubby had his left knee done 9 weeks ago and is still struggling & in pain.
On the other hand a woman in my aqua aerobics class had one of her's done - no need for pain killers & driving after three weeks!

Good luck with it Mo ... It will be hard for you but best to get it over in one go...

Nothing planned today, A doggie walk on the cards thats for sure, not before sending big big hugs to you Penny :) . Its amazing how many people are having new knees these days, its almost as popular as the ammount of folk going around with new hips. Take Care of yourself Penny, and all.
