It seems 'The Chilterns' expect rain at 2 p.m.! That , geographically, includes me so I wonder if it will happen? Will see in 53 minutes time!

Morning Dita and all,. Looks like rain but so far, dry and very humid. Spent yesterday afternoon watching the motor racing, quite good I thought. I hope every one is well and doggie not too hot today. Big hugs from me. Just done a bit of clearing up, but very tiring in this weather. Just about to start making some bread and prepare lunch., meat pie today. Take care all and don't overdo it today. cheers Penny

Morning Penny and all, your weather sounds same as ours, hard work when doing the hoovering etc. Doggie sends big hugs and looking forward to a short walk very soon. Just had a call from family in Lancs and its been raining there for nearly 4 days, guess we are getting off light. Save me a bit of meat pie and some fresh bread, please :) Take care Penny, and all who nip in here.

Afternoon all. Back from my Norwegian cruise. It was most enjoyable and we saw some beautiful scenery up there. The weather could have been better at times (temps mostly in the fifties until last Tuesday and we did have some rain), but that suited us fine for walking around rather than in searing heat. We didn't see darkness for about five days....went to bed at 2am one night in broad daylight!

Hubby just been out with a drill undoing the damage. stopped again now but much cooler. Take care and welcome home. cheers Penny

Quite heavy, yes! Yesterday morning was an early start, as Trixie had to be taken to the vet for 9.15 appointment, Not illness or accident. but a seasonal thing. She is allergic to the harvest mite and this is when it starts up, so she had the first of a series of steroid injections, continuing between now and October.
There is always the added concern before going off: firstly making sure she won't dart outside and so we lose the appointment. Secondly, the moment of truth, putting her in the carrier and feeling like a murderer! But I am always forgiven.

Today a plumber is coming to change the loo cistern upstairs. I have a 'slot' 9 till 1 p.m. Happily there is a downstairs. Then the family will arrive for two nights en route to Devon.

Morning Dita, and all, Gosh Vannin, sounds as tho' you have a busy time ahead. Don't envy the visit to the vet. I used to hate that. Weather iffy today. Off to Costco to top up. Just hope we don't get it as heavy as yesterday. Hope doggie has a nice cool walk today, big hugs from me. Do hope all are well, I am clogged up, deaf as a post today. Saw the Chemist and now find Earex is no longer made. Wonder what else there is. Do have a lovely day all and take care. cheers Penny

Penny, I often get Olive Oil eardrops. When warmed, it is very soothing and melts the clog-up. Hope you are soon clear again.

Good afternoon Penny and all. Been to dentist for a checkup. Also been rushing around because my son & Grandaughter are on their way from Kent, they are staying just one night, only found out last night so have been busy sorting out stuff, planning meals etc. Wish they were staying longer, but never mind it is so great to spend a little time, rather than nothing at all with them, thats the problem these days kids move away to the other side of the country instead of just the next town. Little doggie sending you big hugs Penny, she is looking forward to her little visitor, they get on so well.
Hope your blocked ear soon feels better, as Vannin says warm Olive Oil. Take care Penny :) keep your chin up. and all popping in here.

Hi, everyone. It's pleasant here today, intermittently sunny, temp in the low 20s, a little drizzle forecast - but I'm getting the cold bath ready because we're threatened with 30+ degrees tomorrow and major humidity. Huh!

Hope you've got your ears sorted out, Penny. Warm olive oil works quite well or you could try Superdrug's own brand Ear Wax Removal drops. They generally do the trick and they don't smell as horrible as Earrex either!

Morning Dita, Andere and all, went to the chemist and got stuff, hope it works. Hate this feeling. Very dull and quite a drop of rain today, more forecast. Much cooler. Went to Costco yesterday and met son. Quite busy there. Having grandson for the day on Friday, should be fun. Hope you enjoyed your time with family Dita. Keep meaning to ask, how is cousin on boat. If weather good we might take grandson down to the canals, he is now into photography like hubby so would be a good time for each of them. Hope doggie is ready for a nice walkies today, big hugs from me. Hope your weather stays good Andere,. Take care and have a good day all. cheers Penny

Good afternoon Penny and all. We are back on our own again now after a fantastic few hours, how big my Grandaughter grows, each time I see her she seems to have become much more adult than her 7yrs, quite a young lady. Must say though after a couple of hours we were both playing and acting like kids.Loved it. Little doggie too had a wonderful time, she, like us is exhausted today, but still remembers you Penny and has plenty hugs for you:)
Hope weather keeps fine for Grandsons visit on Friday. Cousin is enjoying his life on the ocean waves, he say's he loves waking up to the quacking of ducks each morning, his dog does too. Still got a few improvements to do around the place but he is a happy lad.Much cooler here too and a bit showery. Hope your ear easier, I keep getting blocked sinuses, not very pleasant. Take care of yourself Penny and all.
