Dita, regarding ears. The doc said use two drops of olive oil twice a day. Clean out every morning with those little cotton buds on sticks, Must say, it worked a lot better than the Earex and stuff from the chemist. Worth a try. Hope laundry was o.k. Andere, started to have a little rain here but only a few spots. cheers Penny :grouphug:

Good heavens - am I first today?! Hope everyone's OK, dogs, cats and all.
Yes, thanks, Penny, I got to the washing line just as the rain started so was able to rescue everything before any real wetting occurred. Like yours, our shower was very light and brief. It's very grey and gloomy today, looks as though it may tip down any moment. Nothing much of interest going on here today; I'm just putting off getting down to work. I've got a new piece of software to get to grips with and I need to force myself into 'concentrate' mode.

Just to bring you up-to-date Dita, Went for ear appointment, Saw nurse and she could not do it. Seems Doc should have said WARM oil, put it in ear and lie down for 10 mins on my side to allow it to penetrate. She was very good and explained all, said if the wax is hard it could be like a scab and trying to break it could cause damage. I reckon that is what they did with my first ear problem some years ago. That was why I was was worried because I can only hear one side, she gave my a syringe and said she would ring if she can see me before TWO weeks again, so I have to suffer once more, Told me also, never to use the little cotton buds they sell for ears and never to wipe or plug with cotton wool. Worth knowing. She said, just wipe with clean toilet paper. So, show your hubby this and tell him to be careful. Once its gone its gone. cheers Penny

Thanks Penny, seems cotton buds are out, and doc told you to use them, mum always used warm oil though. Crikey! you got to wait another couple of weeks now, that's a shame. Just shows we go poking around in our ears and could do more harm than good. Hubby say's thanks Penny. :) Take Care x

Hit Dita and all, big hugs first and kiss for puss. Bit late today, had to go shopping as I missed a lot yesterday going to the Docs. Had quite a shock in Boots. There was a guard on duty patrolling the aisles. I asked what it was about and seems people are walking down the aisle (No pun intended) helping themselves and because the cash point is at the end away from the door they just pick up and walk out. I think it disgusting. Whatever are we coming to. Called in at Lidl for hubby's favourite chocolate. Back home a cooked Lasagne for lunch. Hope all are well and doggie enjoying the weather today. Take care. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all. I was in Pets at Home last week, they had just had a delivery of doggie toys, fancy dog coats and other stuff, the store had just been putting them on the shelves, she went out back for a minute and someone had been in and swiped the lot. She said it happened in seconds.
We have been to a funeral, a guy who died in sad circumstances alone in his flat, he was in his late 40's. His mum, my friend died last year.
Gotta take doggie for a walk now, she sending big hugs to you Penny :) says I am neglecting her today. Take Penny and all.

Hi, all -
We have the security people in one of the Boots branches near here, too, for the same reason. The daft thing is, the shop used to be Underwoods before Boots took it over and the tills were by the doors but Boots revamped the place and put the tills to one side down towards the far end. As well as the guards, they have big, angled mirrors high up on all the pillars so staff can see into all the aisles. The security guards are really nice, jolly, jokey chaps and not remotely intimidating - but maybe that's only with the honest customers! (I'm not going to put it to the test).

Sad state of affairs. I had to go to Boots again today and I said to the guard, As there are so many aisles, you could suggest mirrors all round the tops. He smiled and said thank you.

Morning Dita and all. Big hugs for doggie and kiss for puss. Nothing planned, still fretting over my hearing. Looks as though it is going to be a wet day today then lovely tomorrow. Do hope your breathing problems ease off Dita, thought I was bad enough but you must feel terrible at times. Take care and try to get walkies before bad weather this p.m. cheers Penny

Morning Dita and all, Morning started bright and sunny but clouding over now. Hope doggie has had walkies, big hugs from me. If pussy tunes in, big kiss from me too. Had a dreadful night, kept feeling sick. Wonder if it is the change in medication she gave me. Anyway, having a day off food altogether. Hubby asked for roast leg of lamb but said this morning he didn't mind a fridge meal. So the lamb is in the fridge until tomorrow. Going to rest and do crosswords all p.m. (says she) bet I am disturbed. Got to cut his hair this afternoon to start with. Take care all and enjoy the day. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all. Sounds like reaction to your tablets to me Penny, just wondered if they are Statins because we were chatting about them the other day. Doggie was not too happy on walkies this morning, think she had a bit of tummy ache, not been eating her veg mi thinks, bit of constipation/wind.Hot weather affects her tum sometimes because she does not eat as much, anyway big hugs are on their way to you. Maybe she is in sympathy with you :) Have a chicken roasting for our meal, will be plenty left too, it was £4 from Tesco and a good size.
Take Care Penny :) and all..........you could shave his head, save haircut hee hee.
