Hi Dita and all, so pleased doggie got a nice walk today, extra big hugs from me and big kisses for puss. Sorry about M & S Dita, it was a B.P. petrol station which sells M & S packed food and drinks. Nothing doing here again, same boring routine. At least the weather is good. Washing my hair this afternoon, thought about one we used to say when we were going out to a dance. Dressed up like a dogs dinner. Take care and have a good bank holiday cheers Penny

Waiting for Boots to deliver our meds today so will have to stay put and not go for our weekly shop. Its like normal day at our house too, keep getting texts and pics from family who are living it up in France. Take care Penny :) and all.

Hit Dita and all, big hugs for doggie today, going to be a hot one for walkies. Big kiss for puss too. Just had a lunch of something I never dreamt I would have. A Piri Piri chicken, cooked in the micro for 8 mins approx. served with thick oven chips and baked beans. Simply super. From Farm Foods. Must go and treat myself again. Hubby fancies going out this p.m. Not any where I fancied but his choice again, down by the canal watching the boats. Hope everyone is well and taking care. Have a good afternoon. cheers Penny

16.40 Just got back, nothing new still loads of Canada Geese but barges all still. No one moving at all, think it a little too warm. cheers Penny

Good morning everyone. Penny, I hope you are feeling much better now. When do you get the test results?

Puss is very much better, and I put this down to a good timing and combination of two treatments. With luck I won't have to take her to the vet for the time being. She is happy, hardly scratching, really cuddly and her fur condition is glossy and lovely.

As for me, some of you might have seen my last night's capers on Facebook or Age Net, headed 'Uninvited Night-time Idiots'
"I am so annoyed. I have a longstanding rule that the chain is on the door before 7.30 p.m and I don't open it unless someone has phoned to say they are coming. Just now at 10.30 p.m. the bell rang then rang again - the person was illuminated by triple porch light. I shouted 'Who's that?' (rattling the chain) He said 'It's the man who did your guttering last year, run out of petrol opposite your house, and need a jerrycan of petrol'. I sent him packing with a flea in his ear, and a threat of phoning the police"

I was not scared but angry! I am usually in bed soon after 10. When I finally settled down, it was a better night's slumber than for a while!!

Update to the above. After being urged by friends online, that it should be reported, I got onto 101 (police non-emergencies), who said I had done the right thing.

Hi, I'm back with partial good news. The nurse did my ears and now can hear, not very loud but enough to hear what people are saying. Seems I have very delicate ear drums and have to go again next Friday for a final syringe. Now the next bugbear, I have to get up at 6.oo am on Wednesday to accompany hubby to Stoke Manderville. He said he was going on his own but I could see he wasworried so asked him if he wanted me, oh yes please. So, taking plenty of crossword books and arranging lunch out at a nearby place. Hopefully, this will lighten his mood, been very down this last week. Talking of pans Dita,I have a great big pan which has been hanging up for years. It is oblong, a catering size and has a strainer in the base. If I remember correctly it is a fish kettle. Also two large jam pans, one of which I use often still. Funny how we keep collecting. Hope everyone is well, take care. Hugs and kisses for you know who. cheers Penny :sunglasses:

Have been wondering how you got on, well it does sound like a bit of improvement Penny, should be even better after next. Lets hope hubby has more luck than his last visit to Stoke Manderville, hopefully no hiccups like last time. Those fish kettles are enormous, was looking at all the kitchen stuff that is lying in the cupboards just bunging the place up, too much. Must take the bull by the horns----sometime :) Big hugs and licks from doggie xx

Hello, everybody and apologies for going quiet but I've just had a few days away in Hampshire and was too busy having fun to spend much time haunting the internet. We got lucky and the weather was beautiful but not so hot it sapped our energy so we really enjoyed it. I forgot to take my 'proper' camera (can't believe I did that!) so I'll have to see how the few pics I took on the little pocket one turn out. Anything worth posting will be posted later.

Penny, I'm so pleased that you're now a little less deaf and my digits are x-ed that the next visit produces a complete cure.

We got home around 5pm and I've now done all the laundry so it's ready to hang outside in the morning if the weather holds on for another day. I feel very virtuous. I shall also go and collect Lucy from the cattery in the morning and will have to listen to her telling me all weekend how badly she's been treated and how guilty I should be feeling ....
