Quite agree Dita, For instance, hubby always picky about food. Today I gave him the Piri Piri chicken which as I explained came from Lidl. First he said, I hope you are making some gravy, I pointed out there was quite a lot in the packet. then, why are you taking it apart, I was serving between two of us. He was eating away, then said, any more chips, gave him rest of mine, then in spite of the chicken in what is known as spicey sauce, he said, I am not going to waste this sauce, promptly got up and cut a huge slice of my new bread and proceeded to dunk up all his gravy and then finished mine. Am still having a giggle about it, so vannin, you will understand, does us good to have a moan now and then, as Dita says, not nice to be alone. Take care. cheers Penny

Please know that I was not criticising, and as we are all friends, I know you well enough to appreciate you have happy homes. But I was just thinking how sometimes I used to think 'there must be more to life than this'...how wrong I was. My post just came out wrong.

As you say we are all friends, however, our homes are not always happy. My home life is very unhappy at times but very few know about it, (maybe Maisie). I do enjoy the friendship Penny and I have established between us, also anyone else who comes along and joins us. If truth be known most of us would hesitate to say our lives were totally happy, life just is not like that. Chatting on here can whisk us away from the reality and put a smile on our faces for a while. And yours too Viv. Big Hugs xx

As Dita says we are friends on here so say what you like. Always helps to relieve tension having somewhere to say what we like. Have a Dental appointment for a check up on Tuesday so you can imagine how nervous I am at the moment. Cannot sleep at all well until it is over and done with. Doctor says, don't worry, many people are the same. Did you see the programme Country File this evening, some beautiful cats. cheers Penny :grouphug:

Good morning all. Yes, Penny, I saw the cats on Country File, one or two with very unusual markings. I looked at my wild beast and said ' Curfew would be the bitter end for you, wouldn't it?'

Thank you for the hugs. Please don't mind my inward-looking, it soon passes but this is the bad month that comes between my husband's September birthday, and the October anniversary of my son's death - (18 years this year) David would have been 82 last week.

But I must say, having taken the leap of having the decorating done, has been quite a boost and makes me enjoy coming indoors!

Morning Dita and all, Lucky you vannin, keep saying we need a decorator but no luck so far. Hubby has an appointment with the heart specialist at the beginning of October and although he looks in tip top condition he is obviously on edge like we all would be. Trouble is he has no patience a tall and gets very irritable. We are all different. Hope pussy is behaving, give him/her big kisses from me. Weather supposed to be nice today but so far very dull. Hope you are O.K. Dita and doggie enjoying walkies, big hugs from me. Have my savoury mince for lunch, one hubby loves. Have just washed and set my hair. Keeping busy so I don't dwell on tomorrow's visit to the dentist. Stupid me. Take care all and have a nice day. cheers Penny

Good afternoon Penny, Vannin and all. This must be a very tense time for you Vannin and a very sad thoughtful time. We could do with a bit of decorating doing around here, having to have work done outside with the rendering, it will have to wait. My cousin turned up today, he had taken pics of his boat and downloaded them on my comp, could send you a couple Penny by mail for your hubby to see, or could put them in my Gallery on here. Doggie walk a bit late again, she does send plenty big hugs to you Penny, you need extra cos you at Dentist tomorrow. Keep your BP down Penny and chin up :) and take care Vannin and all.

Greetings, everyone.
Well - the sun has just emerged from behind a layer of thick cloud and, at last, it looks like turning into a pleasant afternoon. Get your dog-walking boots on while you can, Dita!
Viv, I'm sorry you feel low and apologise if I've said anything to exacerbate that. I joke about OH and have the occasional whinge but I do know that, if he wasn't there, it would leave a bl**dy gert hole in my life that couldn't ever be filled. Glad the decorating has cheered home up a little, anyway. This place needs doing so badly, it'd probably be simpler to move and leave it to the new owners to do with as they fancy.

Good luck with the dentist, Penny. We seem to have much in common as I have dentist-phobia, too (thanks to an over-enthusiastic dentist I encountered as a child). I haven't been for about 4 years now and probably won't until something hurts but I hope all goes well for you tomorrow. I'll be on a ferry to France while you're settling back in the big chair (yes, we're off on our travels again - SKI-ing as Lacemaker once described it to me: Spending the Kid's Inheritance!) but I'll think of you and send cyber-hugs. Tell your hubby good luck with his heart-check; I developed a heart-murmur a few years back and my GP sent me for legions of tests to make sure it wasn't anything really sinister. It turned out to be 'just one of those things' but the worst part by far was the waiting - for appointments and for results. I aged 10 years in 2 months from worry so he has my sympathy.

No Andere, You said nothing to exacerbate anything. It is just me, and I have been feeling guilty because my cemetery visits dwindled off, but will make up for it this week. They are both in the same grave.
All is well chez Viv and Trixie has been extra cuddly almost all day today.

Not been able to post pics on Gallery yet, trying to sort it out with Admin. Penny. Good Luck tomorrow.

Dont feel guilty Vannin, they are both in your heart. Hugs.

Wish I was going to France Andere, I usually go every year with my son and had to miss this year.

As all was o.k. at the dentist and we were back early, had lunch, hubby said, shall we pop out this afternoon. Delighted, what time?, after his snooze at 2.p.m. Just all ready and son arrives with his new car. Had been to collect between meetings and popped round to show us. Took us for a short spin, super and a beautiful colour. Don't know much about them except its a new Lexus. and has just about everything thing in it. Bit too much for me but a lovely car nevertheless. So, now having returned home, too late for afternoon out. Just my luck. cheers Penny
